PUBLIC ACTS OF WORSHIP IN CORPUS CHRISTI CHURCH RESUMED ON19th SEPTEMBER 2020

PUBLIC ACTS OF WORSHIP IN CORPUS CHRISTI CHURCH RESUMED ON 19th SEPTEMBER 2020

The new times of the Mass at Corpus Christi Thursday at 7.00 pm , Saturdays Vigil Mass at 6.00 pm and Sundays Mass at 10.00 am.

The obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy days of obligation does not apply.

It is a cause of great joy for very many people that this weekend both parish communities have the opportunity to return to public worship at Corpus Christi.  For some time, we have longed to join in the celebration of the mass and other sacraments with family, friends and neighbours. Members of both parish communities, parish office staff, along with the clergy have been working hard to ensure that everything has been put in place to ensure that all of us feel as safe as we possibly can when we return to our parish church. Every parish and every church in the diocese are different so it is important that we observe the advice and guidelines that are given at Corpus Christi. I appreciate that many people may still feel anxious or concerned about participating in large gatherings of people. You may prefer to wait a few weeks before joining us for Sunday Mass and, in the meantime, continue to avail of our parish live streaming of the Mass via https://www.pscp.tv/ccolsp  Alternatively, you may wish to participate in a weekday mass on Wednesday when the number of people attending is fewer. If you feel unwell, please remain at home for your own safety and the well-being of others.

If you’d like to volunteer as a steward at either Church or to help in any other way, please speak to Fr Wilfred or
contact the parish office via email or telephone on Monday, Wednesday and Friday during office hours

It is ESSENTIAL at this stage to book a place for Mass, Thursday 7.00 pm, Saturday Vigil Mass at 6.00 pm and Sunday Mass at 10.00 am by booking via https://massbooking.uk. Please go to the website and register your details and sign up. Once you have signed up, you can start a booking by first selecting the Church at which you want to attend Mass. (You can also save your favourite Churches to speed things up). You can then book one or more places at Mass. Please do not book any more than you need. Bookings for our church close 5 hours 00 minutes before the start of Mass. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. This would seem to be the fairest way of doing this with such restricted numbers. If the church is not full, there will be places available at the Mass on a first come, first served basis.

CHURCH OPEN FOR PUBLIC MASS Guidelines in Advance
Points for everyone’s safety from the National Guidelines and diocesan guidelines:
